A beautiful natural hot springs
located in a tropical jungle, Fuentes Georginas is the most
beautiful natural spa in all
of Guatemala. It was built during the presidency of Jorge Ubico and was
made in his honor.

Georginas are said to have curative powers and draw many of the local
people as well as tourists from around the world.

HOW
TO GET HERE: To get here from Xela take a
bus or drive to Zunil town then from here, you can either walk for 3 hours
or hire a pick up truck at downtown Zunil for a couple of dollars ($5 per
person). There is a small entrance fee for the hot springs. Sergio who runs
this place, has a Restaurant and a dozen Bungalows, each with its own
bathtub,
fireplace and outside patio with a grill. Ask for plenty of wood to
keep yourself warm for the whole night. Hotel price ranges from $10 to $15
for a double per night.
