Punta Manabique , where you can snorkel and swim, has one of the best beaches in Guatemala. Cerro San Gil is a beautiful rain forest area. Tres Puntas is situated on the northeast side of Puerto Barrios, and here you will find the most beautiful beaches of the area. You can also visit the north side of Rio Dulce.

LEARN SPANISH: Not available in Puerto Barrios, but there is a school close by, the Finca Tatin, in Izabal . If you are serious about learning, we recommend  going to the closest place, like  Antigua, or a little farther to Quetzaltenago, Panajachel or Huehuetenago.  They have plenty of schools.
