Panajachel has plenty of inexpensive restaurants all over the place, as well as many Luxurious ones,  most of which are in the first class Hotels. 

ITALIAN

Budget:El Bistro -- lovely restaurant with tables in the garden.

Middle: La Posada del Pintor  Restaurant, excellent Pizza, live music every night from noon to midnight, very popular. Ristorante la Lanterna  at the Hotel Dos Puntos excellent Italian food on Calle Santander.

GUATEMALAN

Budget La Laguna Restaurant  on Main Street; inexpensive, serves Pepian, a typical Guatemalan dish.. El Cisne --  included on its menu is lake fish; good.

Deluxe: La Posada de Don Rodrigo Hotel offers an excellent Guatemalan cuisine; recommended.

 

INTERNATIONAL

Middle: El Chisme Restaurant and Casa Blanca offer high quality meals. Located on Main Street and Santander Street. El Patio (Middle) on Calle Santander.     

 Deluxe: Hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo  offers delicious international and Guatemalan cuisine, and is a first class restaurant. Hotel del Lago  a restaurant with a lake view, great for dinners, as is the Hotel Lake Atitlan.

Budget: The Deli Restaurant, excellent breakfast, waffles, pancakes and fruit plates, located on main street next to Hotel Galindo. 

 

COFFEE SHOPS

Budget: Cafeteria Las Palmeras, On Calle Santander.

VEGETARIAN

Budget: Hsieh  serves good vegetarian plates. Also, Selvananda's.  Both  are located on the same street, Calle de los Arboles, which is the same street as the famous restaurant Casa del Pintor. Restaurante El Dragon  Serves excellent vegetarian dishes, and all vegetables have being disinfected. The Bombay Restaurant  offers Mid-East food, like falafel, and pita bread, good.
