Planeta.com is a clearinghouse for practical ecotourism around the globe. As a travel resource center, we host a variety of online forums and conferences and have published more than 10,000 pages of features and scholarly reports

Located about 20 miles from Flores on the road to Tikal, is the Cerro Cahui, a nature reserve.  There is about 800 acres of jungle where you can see all kind of birds, monkeys, jaguars, deer and others wild animals. There is a small entry fee. Here you can also hike on some of the different trails and enjoy a beautiful view of the lake. Cerro Cahuí (Picture by Majatza)
