One of three Sacatepèquez villages, San Juan Sacatepèquez lies about 30 kilometers from Guatemala City.  It is known for its export-quality flowers,  as well as for its beautifully woven huipiles and the pottery from a nearby village, Las Trojes.  The town has about 80,000 inhabitants.

How to get there:  San Juan Sacatepèquez is about 28 kilometers from Mixto Viejo ruins and can be reached either by car or by bus from the Zone 4 terminal in Guatemala City.  You can also catch a bus from Zone 9 at the corner of 2a. Avenida and 2a. Calle.
