 The best beaches
in the country are located near the El Salvador border. Las Lisas is a
pretty beach halfway between Monterrico and El
Salvador. It's a safer place to swim than Monterrico, as the waves
don't crash down as hard, but it is rather undeveloped.

HERE: You
can take a first-class bus that goes to San Salvador and ask the driver to
drop you off at the town of Chiquimulilla. From there you can take
another small bus to the beach, only about 10 more miles. Click
