The best Guatemalan food you can find is in this excellent restaurant La
Fonda de la Calle Real, run by the most wonderful Guatemalan couple,
Leonel y la Negrita (nickname). It is worth it to try it. Recommended. If
you are a backpacker you can join all the locals restaurants at the
market, it is inexpensive and when you are traveling in chicken buses you
will find them all over the country.
Antigua has attracted a big population of Americans, bringing with them
not just the culture but their business as well. Examples are Doņa Luisa
and Cafe Condesa. Also all the fast food like McDonalds are all over the
country ,

have a cup of coffee, and read a book. Even though the country grows one
of the best coffee in the world, locals process it with a different taste
